FIRST JOB My first job was picking up weeds for one cent a piece in my Grandma’s backyard. Let’s just say to this day, I have a disdain for the sight of weeds.
INSPIRATION When I was a teenager I had a lot of questions about Christianity and I was fortunate to have a group of adults in my life who listened to my questions. They did not always have the answers but what they did show me was influence one adult can have on the life of a teenager.
BIGGEST CHALLENGE My biggest challenge is constantly reminding myself that Jesus is not a super hero or a personal butler. He is the one who saves and redeems and who we all need.
ROLE AT HULEN STREET My job is to equip our ENTIRE church, from to teenagers and their families, to single, married and senior adults, to walk every teenager through the teenage years and cultivate a real faith. I have a lot of fun while doing that.
Matt has served with Hulen Street Church since 2014.
