FIRST JOB
My first real job was at Paradise Bakery in Ridgmar Mall. I made sandwiches and coffee for customers… it was thrilling ;) My next real job was at Harvest Bible Chapel in Davenport, IA. In 2010, my wife, Katy, and I moved there from Texas with our one year old to take a Worship Pastor position at the church. We spent 5 cold, but incredible years in Iowa and I’m super thankful to have learned what it means to love and be loved by the Church there.
INSPIRATION
I am inspired by heart transformation. Anyone can change an outward action, but only Jesus can change a heart. Watching a man or woman walk from darkness into light… watching their heart change… observing their character strengthen… hearing how the Lord has created joy from sorrow and beauty from ashes in their life… that’s incredible and inspiring.
ROLE AT HULEN STREET
I’m the Worship Pastor at Hulen Street. I love Jesus and music. When the people of God gather to sing songs of truth together, something special and spiritual happens. There is power in the songs of the saints and I am incredibly humbled to be able to help facilitate that!
