FAQ's
Will anything change for babies and preschoolers?
No. Babies and preschoolers will remain in their assigned rooms on the preschool hall during the remodel. Nothing changes here.
Where will grade school kids meet?
Grade schoolers will be spread across the preschool hall and the student ministry building:
Kindergarten: Green Room at the end of the preschool hall
5th–6th Grade: Teal Room on the preschool hall (largest space available)
1st–4th Grade: Student ministry small group rooms, with each grade separated into its own room
Will we need more leaders?
Yes. To split the 1st–4th grade into separate classrooms, we’ll ideally need 8 additional leaders to serve twice a month.
Will the kid’s area still be secure?
Yes. Security remains a top priority:
The front doors to the student building will stay locked and unused on Sunday mornings.
The connecting door between the student area and preschool check-in will remain closed.
A hall director will monitor the entire area throughout the morning.
Where will check-in happen on Sunday mornings?
Current check-in stations on the preschool hall will stay in place. We are also exploring options to add additional stations to improve traffic flow.
Will the Sunday format change for kids?
The goal is to keep the current format as consistent as possible:
Kinder–4th Grade: Begin in classrooms → move to the large group area in the student building for Bible story and worship → return to classrooms for small group time and crafts. They’ll also continue playground rotations
(once a month, twice for kindergarten).
5th–6th Grade: Stay in the teal room for the entire class time.
Can kids still attend both the 9:30 and 11:00 hours?
Yes. Kids may attend both. The Bible story is the same each hour, but the format, crafts, and activities change. We especially encourage 3rd–6th graders to do small group one hour and attend worship with their family the other hour, so they can grow in experiencing corporate worship alongside their parents.
What if my group meets at 11 and my student can’t sit with me in service?
Students have a designated section on the far-left side of the auditorium where they sit together. Student Ministry leaders will be nearby to sit with and support them.
Will the format for Students change?
Not really. Student groups will stay the same, but there will be no large-group teaching during this season. Students will spend the entire time in their small groups.
Do any adult groups meeting at 11 a.m. need to move?
No—groups that use childcare can continue meeting on-site at 11 a.m. All other groups (without childcare) will need to find a different time or location.
What if someone shows up looking for a group at 9:30 a.m., but there are none meeting on-site?
Encourage them to attend the 9:30 worship service, and help them either connect to an 11 a.m. growth group or to the leader of another group meeting off-site or at a different time.
Can’t the Leader Lounge and Production Studio be converted back into classrooms?
We learned a long time ago that, for whatever reason, Growth Groups tend to struggle in windowless rooms. So, we repurposed those rooms and they are regularly used for other reasons throughout the week.
